For 14 days, you're going to attempt something slightly unhinged.
10 dates.
Yes. Ten.
No, I'm not promising that one of them will be your husband.
Actually, that's kind of the point. You don't want to miss this.
Because somewhere along the line, dating got really serious.
A guy asks you out and suddenly, your brain wants answers.
Is he my type?
Is he spiritually mature enough?
Could I marry him?
Ma'am.
He asked you to coffee. You don't need to know whether he's your husband before you agree to meet him. That's what the coffee is for.
HOW IT WORKS
We’re doing 10 dates in 14 days, but this challenge is a month long. Why? Because you don’t get off the sidelines and into the game without first preparing, stretching and warming up, so we’re spending a week preparing.
Week one starts with a live kickoff call. We name what's actually kept you sidelined: the fears, the profile that isn't working, where your opportunities are actually coming from. We’ll talk experiment rules and parameters. You get your Lab Notes workbook, filled with exercises and questions designed to help you take away as much as you can from The Dating Experiment. Then we put actual dates on the calendar in preparation for weeks two and three.
Weeks 2 and 3 are the sprint, the challenge. 14 days. 10 dates. Ten dates is the goal, but it's not your grade. Four dates after a year of zero is still evidence. Asking someone out for the first time is evidence. Getting rejected and finding out you didn’t die is evidence. Show up and participate: that's the actual assignment.
Week 4 we’ll have another live call, where we’ll reflect together on what you experienced, what you learned, what worked, what didn’t. We’ll talk about how to keep the momentum going! And we’ll celebrate the heck out of all the risks, big and small, you took along the way.
the key to it all: YOU'RE NOT DOING THIS ALONE
There's a private Telegram community full of women doing this exact unhinged thing at the same time as you. Sitting in your car five minutes before a date wondering why you signed up for this? We're there. He didn't text back and you've already made a list of reasons for why you'll die alone? Bring it to us, and we'll look at what actually happened instead of the story your fear wrote about it. I'm in there throughout, reading, coaching, dropping the occasional voice memo, pushing back when it's needed, encouraging and supporting you along the way.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
If you’re a Christian single gal who’s tired of the stop-start cycle of being on the apps then off the apps, if you’re ready to get out there, but you aren’t sure where to start, heck yes, this is for you. If you’re waiting for God to give you a sign or bring you your husband or tell you now is the time, this might just be the challenge for you. You don't have to be fearless. You just have to show up and be willing, even if you're nervous (especially if you’re nervous).
If you want to keep doing what you’ve been doing (or not doing), this isn't your experiment.
***
I don't know what's going to happen in your Dating Experiment. Neither do you. Maybe that's the whole point. Stop trying to figure out if he's your husband before you've even ordered your latte. Go on the date.
WHY I CARE SO MUCH
I followed the rules. I kissed dating goodbye. Then I turned 25, and I'd never been on a date, never been kissed, never had my heart broken. I had no idea how to date or where to start…
So I started small—one date a month. It later turned into three first dates in a single day and an actual spreadsheet so I could keep the guys straight. I learned what I liked and didn't. What attraction really felt like in my body. How to bounce back when something fizzled. I dated on purpose for seven years before I met my husband, and honestly, if I'd met him earlier I probably would've written him off; he was nothing like the men before him, and thank goodness! It took all that dating to build the discernment to recognize he was exactly what I needed.
I'm not trying to teach you to think harder about dating from your couch. I want you out there. And I’ll be with you, ever step of the way!
